We were honored to host a sake tasting dinner for the ICAA on 29th July. Although this dinner was semi educational, we had a great night tasting a variety of our products companied by specially paired crusine.
I was especially impressed by the growing number of people that are interested to the background and culture of sake, hopefully the popularity of our national treasure will continue to blossom!

We were at the UNDERCOVER perfume launching party last saturday having a chill evening and catching up with some friends. We brought some presents to congratulate UNDERCOVER however we got beaten by temptations..
Van D is the coolest Aussie clothing shop in town by Electricsekki. We were flattered to be invited to their opening and we were happy that the guests enjoyed our sake!

ART HK is the leading showcase for international Modern & Contemporary Art in Asia with over 150 galleries participating from 29 different countries. An after party was held at night on the 27th May and it was a honor to be given the opportunity to share our sake with guests from all over the world.

VOID Watches is a new, boutique watch brand launched in 2008 by Swedish designer David Ericsson. VOID has a unique design that uses simple yet expressive shapes and has caught my attention at first sight!
It was a coincident that David (now based in HK) is one of our artist friends’ friend and we didn’t hesitate to help throw a party to celebrate his new collection!

After 2 weeks of consecutive sake drinking at galleries and clubs, we finally move back to a decent food pairing session.
This time I have taking up the challenge in pairing with the ultimate Sichuan food!!!
For people who are not familar with Sichuan, it is located in southwestern part of China. The current name of the province, 四川 (Sichuan), is an abbreviation of 四川路 (Si Chuanlu), or “Four circuits of rivers”, which is itself abbreviated from 川峡四路 (Chuanxia Silu), named after the division of the existing circuit into four during the Nothern Song Dynasty. So… what is Sichuan cuisine? Known as one of the Four Great Traditions of Chinese cuisine, which now is famous all over the world. Sichuan Cuisine is of “one dish, one shape, hundreds of dishes, hundreds of tastes”, as the saying goes, to describe its acclaimed diversity. The most prominent traits of Sichuanese cuisine are described by four words: spicy, hot, fresh and fragrant. Referring to what was suggested previously, our 純米 selection and vintage collection (2 years vintage ginjyou) would best suit this delicious cuisine!
Our pairing of the night:
Appetizer: Bitts sparkling jumaishu
Main: Tokubetsu Junmai, Taiko 2 years Ginjyosyu
Pre-dessert: Taiko Junmai Ginjosyu

After GARAGEWORKS we all headed down to Volar for the final part of the events. Although I have little memories about Volar but from the photos I am assured that it was yet another off the hook success!!

It is not because of the numbers that turned up but the quality of people that we have met!
Reason for us to sponsor is not purely for publicity, it is the mutural respect that we have for artists that devote their living on paint brush and canvas! Similar to what our ancestors have done over the past centuries in refining the art of brewery!
